If they don't want boats there, then it needs to be posted...Sorry I missed you guys. What time did you get there?

Sorry I could not be there Sat. We went to Bardwell. Going to try and make it on Sun morn.

Joy, the early morn bite is good. Cam and I tried it out this last week, lots of nice sized Bass. And, that's just what Cam and I talked about last week, worried that our days are numbered fishing at the construction site area. How do they split up owning the Blue Hole? I heard Home Depot and the Apartment House own part too. Wonder how they can agree who is responsible for what? fish

I got there a few minutes before 7:00. Bugggy said he was there about 6:30. I think it was close to 11:00 when we left. I tried to remember where fish were caught, shown by red x's. Yellow circled area has changed since photo was taken.

What part of "uphold the constitution" don't they understand?

Yeah, I LOVE this spot. I hope we will still be able to access it after constuction is complete. Took my teenage daughters with me Thursday and Friday. They did not want to leave. They actually LIKED it and there were no boys around! laugh banana woot laugh I had to go to Walmart and buy more fishing gear so everyone will have their own. I caught 3 bass, lots of perch, and this nasty little yellow sticky catfish. It was weird. When I took it off the hook, yellow stuff was sticking to my towel. I wouldn't want to eat one of those. As Lucky stated, they did not start to bite until sundown, then it was ON!! We had to leave because of the lightening.

Just curious....How long have you guys/gals been fishing this spot? Lucky said he has been going there for about a month. Has anyone fished it consistently for years? If so, have you ever had any problems as far as beeing asked to leave? I know it is not posted so I was just wondering why it is not more popular. It is worth the drive from D'ville a couple of times a week just for the serenity of the area and the crystal clear water.

Joy...we catch lots of Black Bullheads in the pond/lake that is close to my house. We have always called them Polywogs (sp?). I caught a pretty big one the other day, thought I had hooked into this big Bass we see crusing around. I had caught some small Blue Gill to use as bait for the big Bass. After it hit I felt the rolling, knew I had another Polywog. This one was big though, most are small. I handle all kinds of Cats however, the Bullheads are ICKY nuts to touch, I just take the hook as close to their mouth as possible with my pliers and flip them back into the water. laugh

Hey BUGGGYWHIP, I am a "nightcrawler". wink I can sit out till all hours of the night but can't seem to get out of bed for early morning fishing. sleep We were there again this evening. The water was very cloudy and we were told they dumped dirt in there earlier in the day. There were different people there this time. They said they had been fishing there for years and that there were crappie (by Home Depot) and huge perch in there. We did not catch anything worth mentioning. I think I will let the water clear and go back towards the end of the week. RED, I may have to give Lakeside one more chance. smile

Me too, Joy...I am a night owl. Hard for me to get that "early morning bite". I have been trying for the last 2 weeks to hit my spots early. eeks This year I have had too many run ins with snakes. eeks

Lakeside was not productive for us, or anyone else for that matter on last stocking day. Good luck!
