Thanks Heavy! Yall help me keep an eye on the old man. I cant tell you how many times he has fallen in the water in the past couple years but i cant ask him to stop fishing. Just keep my fingers crossed and ask everybody to drag him out if he goes in again!!!!!!
This day may be your last on this earth. Spend it fishing!

Just talked to the old man and he said that he couldnt get a bite at any of the bridges today. Said he tried several different jigs and depths but no keepers. He thinks that they all ran for deeper water.

My son and I got skunked at buffalo Saturday, man nothing showing on the graph, they must have been holding tight to the bottom. Stopped at middle lake and exactly the same. That was the first time on that lake with a boat and it is smaller but a little deeper than buffalo and just as flat. I gave up but as usual my son didn't want to leave so I layed across the seats and relaxed in the warm sun. He likes being in the front seat with the trolling motor. 76 degrees and we won't see that for a while. I think this wierd weather is what is making the fish incosistent. The gas station in Iowa park by subway has no ethanol, for you boat owners, and also the station in Walters OK by the lights.

Went to the state park late friday till about 4 saturday morning, only one tiny bite, it was a probably 4 or 5in sunfish, so i went back to my car and got a heavier setup, caught one blue cat, went around 3lbs and it shut down even more.

I fish the state part pretty often, well about once a week in the winter, more frequently in the late winter to spring as with everybody else. Working on getting my little boat up an running have to raise the motor it is set too low about a foot and change below the keel. Willing to take people in my boat if the can tell me where to go and show me how. its a 17ft alum. tracker, with a 40hp evinrude. really wanting to get her all setup for catfish, but reckon I would settle for crappie. I work nigts so, i usually fish whenever i get the urge, since i finished up with school I have pretty much adapted to the night shift life. I dont really "wake up" till 10pm. even If im not working and get regular sleep hours I find my self dragging all day till late then I perk right up. I like to fish Gordon Lake too, those Saugeye are somthing else. hit like a freight train taste like a crappie.
Love the smell of a GI bleed in the morning.

whusak,
I haven't ever tried fishing Gordon for Saugeye, what bait do you use. I assume they are not near the bank but in deeper water is this correct. If you can PM me with some helpful info on fishing for these guys I'd really like to get a few. Back home near Amarillo theres walleye but not any Saugeye

I can't believe I used three days of leave to sit at home freezing my butt off. This is valuable springtime crappie leave. Sam I'll go if I also get a other day off! I figured the lake was frozen over.
