Sorry for the late report. Started at 8am. I through a spook and small cranks at boat docks with no success. Girlfriend threw baby brush hog, water melon red. Caught several, all in the 1.5 to 3lb range. I started throwing a 5" zoom trick worm on a shakey head. No good. She is still catching on the brush hog. Went to a texas rig senko. No bites. She is still catching. Went to her bait and I started catching. Never fished any deep water. Just boat dock fished. Hit some places that we have never fished. Caught a few but not many. Off the water at 1:45pm. Best five went 12.50lbs. Not a great day but a fun day. Boated 11 fish. Only one that would not keep.

Better than my day today. Got a late start. Fished 11-3. Threw cranks, texas and wacky rigged senkos- (watermelon and watermelon red), trick worms- (blue junebug, red june bug, and watermelon), craw rigs. Only fished from the ramp at 35 to the 1st island. Didnt catch a thing. 1st time to be skunked on Dunlap. Going back tomorrow afternoon. Will try the brush hogs.

haven't been in a couple of months, so nice to see a thread going.

I may have to give it a shot next week. Canyon was slow this week unlike last week.

I'm going to try to get out there this afternoon (Saturday). Got skunked last time I went so thanks for the report. Luckily I have some baby brush hogs. I'll be in an old Bass Tracker with green lights all up and down the sides so say hi if you see me.

I was there today, what a zoo. Boats everywhere and no parking space at 35 ramp. Three tournaments going on

I'm glad I only fish during the week.

Yeah went out there. Unreal number of people. Between the 4000 boats and the wind, fishing was tough.

I took 4 kids and had only a couple of bites and 1 fish in the boat. Fishing was tuff, but we still had a good time. We found the fish but they had lock jaw.

just got off the water. pretty slow day. managed 3 fish between two of us. couldn't really establish a pattern other than they all came out of lily pads in just a few feet of water. two small fish came on red shad brushogs and the better one came on a watermelon senko. it was cold so most of our fishing was done by the shumman's beach ramp. saw only one boat until about 9 then there were a few more out.
we are coming up on the golden time on dunlap, after winter and before water ski season starts.

I just got back. Managed 3 cats on jugs total 18 lbs. Few sunnies for bait tomorrow.

I was out there today as well. Looks like the word is out on this lake. What a shame, I'm glad I got to enjoy it before all the bragging on this board ruined it. I had to park up near the access road under the I-35 ramp. No tourney today but there were at least 30 trailers there. Over the last few years there might have been 1 or 2 this time of year, on a Sunday and espcially with this weather.

Anyway, fishing was slow. Caught a few dinks and saw several boats (since I was around some all day) also catch a few small fish.

PS don't bother going out there next Saturday. Talked to some guys that were pre fishing for a tourney there next weekend. There will be at least 2 next Saturday.
