I'm headed to meridian st park bass fishing tomorrow but was gonna put out a rod and try to catch some of the trout they stocked. Whay is the best way to catch stocked trout

Salmon eggs.

can of whole corn....thread few on hook, either tight line or small cork. Have seen people bait hole with couple hand fulls of corn. Good luck

But I've found them Academy before. The one's they stock will attack a moving bait.

alongwith the super duper I have been catching also with a 1/8 oz kastmaster. at glen rose town lake between 11 and 1 ,T hink that is the time they were fed in the hatchery

Corn or the little jars of power nuggets by berkley. Put em on a bobber and open a frosty beverage.

I'm gonna go throw my big trout swimbaits at meridian so I just figure I should try to catch a few trout too. Ha.

I got me a super duper and some orange power eggs. So we will see if it works.

Find out what the hatchery's feeding schedule is and what they feed the trout. Use that food for bait and fish when they fed the trout. I've noticed a flurry of activity with stocker trout at certain times regardless of other conditions and attribute that activity to the feeding times back at the hatchery.

Just remember to use light line #4 or #6 and small hooks. I use number 14 salmon hooks or 16 treble hooks.

Small white rostertail. will do the trick as well. Plus 1 on the small line, 4lb is ideal.

When I lived in Colorado, I always had good luck with small spoons. The one I had the most luck with was white, pink and light blue.

Super duper or corn on a hook.

Use the small Kastmaster or Super Duper .. They are both really good lures. Most people use corn and salmon eggs but we use to really sack the trout up using plain ol' garlic cheese fished on the bottom. It is sometimes the best! Good Luck
