They ain't bitin there!!! Yea, I figured that out when I walked up to no water I wasn't out there alone fishing though. At one point he had walked up to within 15 feet of me waiting for me to catch a fish. I tried throwing everything I had at them for 2.5 hrs and caught notta.

That's the water level we've been fishing (and catching).

Shannon and I showed up and I caught 6 and lost a few. They were rising big time and all they would hit was a Blue North Fork Nymph dead drifted. The key is light tippet and little nymphs and dries

I fished olive and black buggers with bead head the whole time. Looks like I have even more to learn when trying to fish for regular fresh water fish. All that I've been doing is fishing for trout up in OK so far. I'll be coming to the next RRFF meeting and join up. That way I'll be shortening the learning curve a tad. Thanks for the help.

Buggers most likely won't work unless they are white. Sandbass are keyed in on shad year round. The Nymph was a wierd deal and and they would only hit it dead drift. I think it looked like a little nymph because there are so many little ones in there right now there aren't any shad.
You were there after us (within 10 minutes of me leaving) and the fish shut off when that cold front pushed through. I would have stayed but I decided I was too cold and wet to stay
The Electric Blue north fork nymph is my take off of one of Terry Wilson's patterns. I have a few pics, but I can't find right now

The sandbass have slowed down up there the last week. White is still a good color, maybe some white with chartreuse. There are also some nice sized crappie in some of the holes.

Dark colors are working a little better when they are rising to things on the surface but when they are not dark is the way to go! Here are the pics a smaller one. Average there. a bigger one.

Pictures! The board! I made this thing a few years ago just for display. Works great when i'm turning them out! Joel Hays' coyote carp fly tied with Badger hair. A lot softer and less stiff than coyote. Bunny Strip Clousers Shootin' line Showing off the Diablo. For those of you who want to paddle it sometime i'll bring it to Texoma on the fly if I go. Otherwise just contact me and you can meet me on the water while i'm out and check it out then. and no Texoma thread is complete without these nasty little buggers. I hate Zeebs!
