I have been having a hell of a time with prop selection in my boat and am just about 100% convinced that the Hotfoot is not letting me achieve WOT, cuz my RPM's are not in the range they should be. Motor is a 150 VMAX Carb'd. Here is my question, where the throttle cable attaches to the hot foot there is a litttle nut that should lock down where you screw the cable end into the hotfoot itself. The nut was loose and lots of threads were exposed. I tried to check throttle position on the butterflies while pushing the hotfoot down with a broom stick (by myself) and I think the butterflies could be open just a little more to be perfectly horizontal. Can I adjust the acc cable right where it goes into the hotfoot to achieve WOT by just screwing the cable end in a little further and then locking down that nut?

No, the cable should be adjusted to have a little slack(just a little) at the idle stop on your motor. when at full idle. lets spring return it to full IDLE
wide open should be adjusted at the footpedal stop/engine throttle stop ..SET WIDE OPEN AT THE ENGINE THROTTLE STOP.. THEN ADJUST FOOTPEDAL STOP TO MATCH.
this allows full throttle and keeps your foot from putting stress/stretch on the throttle cable and linkage

check the bolt behind the foot pedal. that's the pedal stop heybaylor is talking about.
