I bought a new Minn Kota talon around the first of December and still have yet to install it. I made a great bracket but the aluminum I used was too thin and it moved more than I wanted. It is pretty confusing trying to find the correct bracket from Minn Kota. I have a Triton TR21x3 with 250 pro xs. It has the pro high jacker jackplate. Does anyone have the correct part number for the adapter bracket I need? Or could make any recommendations on who to speak with to get the right answer. I called Minn Kota and the guy there was zero help. Thanks in advance for any help I get, it is appreciated.

I have dual Talons on my Triton 20xs. I used the brackets that go between the transom and jackplate, inverted them, and put them between the motor and jackplate. They don't stick out as far, when you mount them like that.

Thank you. I've had them for a few months now. So far they have worked out good. Looking forward to spring sight fishing. I've already used them a bunch to hold me on flats and shallow points.

That looks very nice, just wondering if I only have one unit would I have to shim the other side? Also is that difficult taking out those bolts on the motor mount. I'm not a professional mechanic but am pretty handy, but to me it looks like you would have to support the motor with a stand or the thing would fall off if you remove those bolts that hold it on the jackplate. smile smile

I call Minn Kota support and spoke to Ryan Scholl who was a great help. Took measurements and he sent me a Talon line-drawing with all the dimensions of some Talon adapter brackets(the 3P/3S & 6P/6S). The 6P(port adapter) and 6S(starboard) adapters by their measurements seem to be for my installation.

You can ask call support and ask for Ryan or I can email the .PDF's if you want.

if you can email me the pdf files that would be great. I had measurements today when I called and the guy just said to go to the website and look at all the possibilities. My email is Joeycantrellfishing@gmail.com thanks again.
