The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

Freezing doesn't seem to hurt slip jack. It is a little mushy when it is fresh caught and doesn't seem any softer after being frozen. It has a real tough skin that will keep it on a hook real well.

Deerstrangler....Jered and I would both agree that using them in fresh water makes a difference. Ask T-MAC and Brother Terry about our trip to Cooper the other day. I would estimate 3 to 1 bites on skips over gizzards. Yeah. I talked to Terry while he was on the way home. He did'nt say y'all were using Skip Jack though. Hope you get enough interest for this to make it worth your while. Do you use it filleted or chunks?

We use it exactly as we do gizzard shad. We use filets, chunks and the head as well. To qoute Stinkbait Tom "It is a little mushy when it is fresh caught and doesn't seem any softer after being frozen. It has a real tough skin that will keep it on a hook real well".

That's awesome. Did'nt you come over to Eagle Mountain with Jered once and fish with me and Terry?
