I have caught several fish on them and my friend actually caught a 7.25 on lbj with one, they are good baits and it is heartbraking to loose one

Fishing is my life, and I am not afraid to admit that. To me, learning baits is very important. I spend a lot of time out there in the pool testing baits. My favorite is throwing in lawnchairs and seeing how certain crankbaits deflect off cover!

I have not given up yet, but I have not caught a fish on one yet. I caught 20+ fish last time at Falcon in one spot and they would bite a jig, senko, and 10 inch worm but not the lateral perch. Im still scratching my head on that one? I may need to fish with Combs so he can show me how to use it.

3 trips with some limited time on the watermelon red. I dipped the tail on it to give it a little more flash. Caught on about 3 at monti a couple of weeks ago, but thats the only bite. It did get thumped pretty hard tho.

I was on a Private lake last Saturday and the fishing was tough. Looked down and saw a good sized perch float to the top just flicking it's side fin like it was injured. The water was clear and when I looked past the perch there was a 7lb bass just staring at the perch. It was floating about 10' from the boat and the bass charged and knocked the perch about 4' into the air. I jumped LOL, anyway the bass came back on the perch and inhaled it and then spit it back out. This all transpired in about 10 seconds or so. I dropped a rattle trap down by the perch and caught the bass (which is how I know the weight). I felt bad afterwards since before I intervened the bass had a nice meal lined up but since I got involved she just ended up with a rattle trap LOL..

Just a little story and why I currently have a few of these lateral perch on order...
