been getting it for 20 years and I enjoy it. I like having it in the "office" for reading material. There are good articles in it and "day on the lake" is popular reading. Some folks will never like it but as i said I do.

Good tips and techniques given in the magazine and I have been a member for about 12 years, however, the tips and techniques they are giving are primarily used in the north and northeast sections of the US. We in Texas could care less about what happens there and how they catch their fish.

Personally I like it better now than I did before. I think it is a great mix of technique info, news, and Sports Illustrated type of coverage of the BASS Tour. I look forward to mine every month. There are other magazines with more informative articles but I think it is a good mix.

I agree "day on the lake" is definitely a good read. I have always wanted to take some of the elite pros to some of the lakes I fish and watch how they would approach it with no previous knowledge of the lake.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

I like the magazine. I have been taking it since 1983. It has changed. Even though it has deteriorated over the years with too much advertising it is still a good magazine for no more than it cost. Funny thing is, I never enjoyed reading "day on the lake". Just never impressed me. I think it will improve some but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I joined B.A.S.S back in late 1980, went life in the 90's...the mag has changed a lot over the years - I sure can't defend it..but it's a lot like the NRA, B.A.S.S. stands up for us in DC and the more members they have the stronger the voice, re-join for that reason alone. thats my two cents...

Bass anglers magazine is supposed to be pretty good. I'll be subscribing to it, but B.A.S.S. also lobbies on behalf of anglers so I keep paying my dues.

I have got it since the 1st issue. It kept getting better until ESPN bought it then it started downhill. If I hadn't got a life membership in 1070 I probably would have quit taking it. That being said I really believe Jerry and his partners will get thing back on track.
