This morning I noticed that both of my boat trailer hubcabs were missing. Had to be taken at the 59 ramp and I've had issues with people taking small things (boat straps) from the bed of my truck in the past. Those things are cheap aluminum and I can't see them being worth anything!
So anyone going to the 59 ramp, be careful and make sure you lock up anything that can be taken (even if not valuable).

Had my trailer rearanged for me last year in the parking lot at the airport ramp, so just expect it, and it won't be such a surprise when you get ready to pull out and go home.

Jimbo-- What do you mean by Rearanged ?
I've heard of some problems, but I guess I've been lucky.
I've often wanted to pull my Trailer down and stay for a few days but the fear of vandalism while away fishing has kept me from doing it.

My stringer is getting there!!

I've caught fish out there in some pretty nasty weather. Hit the deep curves downriver from 59.

Rearanged as in messed with my trailer and put it at 90 degrees angle of my rear bumper! I don't know if they hooked it with their trailer and drug it, or manually picked it up and moved it, but I still haven't figured out why anyone would do it in the first place.

All I know from all the years I've fished there is you go there enough times you will have someone mess with your stuff.

They might be fishing the bank and just wait until you are out of sight and knowing you just parked in the lot and left, so they have no fear of being caught, so you just make sure you lock up and have good insurance, and hope they don't mess up your vehicle too bad that you can't drive it, or worse that it may not be there when you get back, but it's not just there, and it's a sign of the times.

Ya I don't see myself ever going down there. I have a newer boat and trailer and the last thing I want is some idiot f'ing with it. There are plenty of places for me to fish where I don't have to worry about that. Some white bass are not worth a hassle like that to me.

Just go to the 59 bridge and check out all the graffiti and you'll get an idea of what kind of classy individuals we're dealing with....

Well they are definitely worth it to me. All I got is nasty Braunig and Calaveras. Its nice to go down to the river and catch hundreds of white bass

White bass/crappie or not, it seems like those cats and drum are always hungry on the Nueces. Glad you had a good time.
