I caught 3 fish off beds today no females yet.
There were at least 40 boats out there today. Maybe we will have a good turnout at our tourney Saturday.

I went today and caught a lot of fish as far away from the power plant outflow as possible. The fish were in post-spawn where the fry was swimming around, the best bait was a watermelon red brush hog and a watermelon senko.

It's tourney time on power plant lakes. Our club will be there the next week, as well as at least a couple of others. Monti the next month.

Fished Welsh on Thursday. 55 trailers in the parking lot when we launched. Lake is still 2&1/2' low. We caught about 15 bass with one over 18"s. Fished 11:00 til dark.

Lower lake doesn't have much hydrilla this year and it has really effected the shoreline bass bite for me. We only caught one male that had a bloody tail from bedding. Thought surely the bass would be moving up by now.

Saw some really nice rigs and meet Bass Bug. Fly rod fisherman really stand out casting out of a bass boat. Hope you guys do well in your tournaments this weekend. I'll stick to the middle of the week fishing.

I think the majority still have not spawned, Tuesday I had 25 with 5 keepers and fished till 2:30. Went back on Thursday and only had 9 by 11:30, most were solid fish though. There is a pretty good evening bite going on right now, but the morning bite was nil for me. We need some cold wether to really get the bite going.

25degrees this Sunday morning. Is that a good time to fish this lake? I really need to try this lake out!

25 degrees + the hot water = serious fog. Be caerful as you won't be able to see past the nose of your boat, but the fishing should be great.

Years ago prior to GPS, I was on Welsh and the fog/steam was thick as soup. I thought if I took my time I could get down to the dam end despite the fog. I had idled past the discharge and passed a stump that I new was left of the boat lane, so I tried to compensate and kept going. About 10 minutes later I passed the same stump so I tried to adjust my course again. Well about another 10 kminutes and here comes the same stump again. I finally gave up and broke out my lunch and waited for the fog to lift. hammer
