Congratulations! I also discovered I didn't have a big enough net. Bass Pro has a collapsible catfish net that works great. I bought one the next day. As I was carrying it to check out I had two different people tell me I sure was optimistic. They were right and I have put it to good use.

Wal-Mart has good one for $20. It's held up fine for my big fish.

I went to Academy today and bought a large collapsible net and on the way to check out a man asked if I was going to the ocean! and another man kept staring as I was checking out then said "plan on catching a big one?" I said "yep, wished I had it yesterday, couldn't get my medium fish in a regular net!"
