Let me re-phrase that a bit better so you can see it.

Seriously though, get a life and try posting a report and try not to be so outspoken of your Jealousy. WB's are not the only fly I threw. Try reading the whole report and actually read and not look at pictures like a small child.

Poor jon.g2 just bought all those flies an most wont work.

Have you, the "Carey Thorn Haters Club" been up there in the last month? Do you know what works better right now? I dont see you giving any advice. I dont see you guiding for a living either..... Grow up guys.

I've always used spinning gear but after reading your post I was driven to purchase a TFO 9ft 5wt and will be giving it a shot tomorrow. I bought 30 or so flys while I was at bass pro so hopefully out of those I can find some that work. I've got a couple of Wolly's but is there a color size I should key in on? Thanks in advance.. Yeah, I have been up there in the last month...

Black zebra midges did real well, sz 20, PT in a size 16 did well also...you see, I don't fish to spawners nor only fish during heavy stockings.

Soft hackles in olive do really well in Zone II, sz 16...BWO dries in sz 20 work for the risers you see on cloudy days, as well as RS2 emegers as a dropper rig

I would post pics, but I don't like putting up pics of the same fish over and over (par marks give it away)

It's a good idea to make sure a guide is properly licensed and insured before you book a trip. There are lots of good guides to choose from for your trip. Below is a link to Oklahoma's web site listing licensed guides.

I didn't realize you needed a license to guide. What kind of insurance are we talking about? One of these days I am going to get a guide or two.

Carey,

Think you're confusing correcting misinformation with jealousy. It's just comical that you would suggest the staples of any western coldwater fishery "suck." Especially coming from a guy who this time last year was putting his reel on backwards while on "guided trips".

While I'm sure it's somehow a compliment to you to have "haters," it would all go away if you just resisted the urge to post such ridiculous stuff all the time. It's just unreasonable to expect that pretending to be some sort of fly fishing authority wont result in people who actually know a thing or two about the sport calling you out. I mean, come on, it doesn't take a whole lot of knowledge to know how to assemble a rod/reel or to know that various nymphs and the EHC are crazy productive flies. It's just silly to claim otherwise and irresponsible to suggest it to people who don't know any better.

I don't understand why people are giving Carey such a hard time. If you don't like what he does, why not keep that to yourself? I happen to like his contributions to this board. He knows how to fish, and that is obvious. The petty stuff just needs to go. To the ones with issues, why not post your results instead of cutting the post of someone else? If I lived closer to Carey, I'd for sure let him teach me how to fish. I can swallow my pride and learn. This board is usually very friendly, and I would like to see it stay that way. This is a close knit group on the whole.

dang..... I came on here to figure out how LLELA would play out tomorrow for me and my 9yr old...... and it is like a "Skeet reese's rods s*ck" and "why does bill dance fish on private waters to shoot his videos" and 'my carrott stik is better than your g-loomis'..... expected more from the Orvis crowd...

thank goodness christmas is coming; we can all take a deep breath and consider what we do and what we say.... especially when we say it first.... first is 'cheesie'....

speaking of cheesie..... how 'bout them cheese power-worms?.... i guess that is where we'll end up when all is said+done....

So, does TF have an Okie license or not?

Pretty simple question and answer...b/c if not, then the local hero/expert has been breaking game laws.

I didn't see his name nor phone number on the link to licensed guides in OK.

If I'm a hater b/c I believe people should obey game laws, then nominate me for "Hater of the Year".
