Very dangerous. I know a family in Plano that had their entire house burn down because the dryer was venting into the attic. Extremely dangerous.

Looking at a new house. Dryer vents directly into the attic. There is dryer lint all over the insulation. I dont think it would be a hazard and would actually make the attic smell nice. Just wondering if it ok to do? Some folks recommend keeping dryer lint in your survival kit cause it is so flammabe and easy to start fires with. I'm not sure I would want that being vented to my attic, especially if I had a gas hot water heater or furnace where a pilot light is involved.
