The crappie fishing has improved quite a bit after the recent cool rain and cold temperatures we have had.
I took two of my friends with me yesterday and it was a very productive morning.
It was also a very cold start, and the creek we fished was blanketed with heavy fog for the first couple of hours.
The first stop we made produced about 20 nice crappie up to 15". The bite there died out after about 2 hours so we moved downstream a ways and found another good spot.
Here we caught the rest of our fish making a couple of short moves to accommodate the crappie as they moved up and down the water column. And in and out of the brush along the shorelines.
We ended the day with 54 very nice crappie, several of which were over 1.75 lbs and over 15" long.
The crappie fishing will be excellent for the next couple of months, so if you want to have some fun, and catch the finest eating freshwater fish, book a trip with us to fish lake Livingston.
