its two ways process to be more safety when trying to get fishing at night. you may come with some one companion, neither some of your friend or a part of your family. or you can need a help from revolver to make you more compatible.

I need to find some sort of subcompact or something. I am tired of carrying my 1911. That brick is hard to conceal.

Honestly, carrying while on my boat has rarely run through my head. Mostly I suppose its because I'm using boat ramps & parks that are safe (or at least safe enough in my opinion). Partly its because I do have some wicked knives in hand with me. Regardless of the adages about bringing a knife to a gunfight, a gun-toting criminal will almost always be at a disadvantage against a knife-armed 'victim' at close range (hint, make the first jabs for the eyes & see what the bad guy does!)
In all seriousness, if you feel there is a real risk, then an appropriate firearm is good insurance, provided you put the time into training & practice.

It is always a good bet to carry while fishing. A garrulous gar or a carping carp could cause quite a havoc to an otherwise pristine day!

Yep. I've had to fight off some big water mocassins from tring to get in the boat.

I sold all my guns to a guy named Bob. If I did believe in guns they might look something like this. Here are a couple of carry guns. The first is a Sig P238 in a wallet holster. It is just a .380 but if you drop it in a pocket and it is gone. Pic of the Sig without the holster. Here is something in the what I call the hand cannon variety. 40 cal sub compact the can be worn IWB.

Imagine you know that tomorrow you will be required to use your firearm to defend your life, and it's not something you can simply avoid by staying home. Whatever firearm you choose is what you should choose today, because you might have to do just that.

I need to find some sort of subcompact or something. I am tired of carrying my 1911. That brick is hard to conceal. Get a ruger lcp!! I love mine with a 'wallet' style holster, it fits in cargo shorts, back pocket of jeans etc. and just looks like a wallet from the outside. Shoots very well for a subcompact (don't compare it to your 1911) and I don't care what anyone says; 6 .380 bullets in someone's chest will stop them enough for you to get away. True, nothing compares to a good 1911, but carrying everyday is better then leaving it home cause you can't conceal it.

LOVE the LCP. Shot one with lazer sight. They will straight drive tacks. Carried a Kel-tec for awhile, trigger sucked. Only good for very close engagements. Not my kind of pistol!

PaulGrapevine, That SIG is sweet. Just hard to get here in Waco. Back ordered for like 5 months or they are asking $650+ for it.
