Just spoke to Kevin (crnerblitz) , he mentioned that he found some red worms buried in the meat when he filleted a crappie. I researched some and they say they are nematodes (aka redworms) anyone else ever come across this?

those are common in crappie meat, i have a tendency to believe that a lot of people miss em when cleaning their fish. I have found them in crappie in virtually every body of water i have fished, but not in every fish! Majority of crappie DO NOT have them but they are not uncommon. I have no idea whether they keep the fish from being edible, when i find them i avoid any controversy by just pitching the whole fish! Either way, i am ridding that body of water from a carrier/contaminant to the fish population at large, and preventing anyone in my house or to whom i may be giving the fish from facing possible illness, infection, or worse.

Going to hit up the 360 creek after work today around 1 or so. Will bring minnows if anyone wants to join.
I live right by there as well but have never had any luck. I've always fished that creek with spinners, soft plastics, cranks and other bass baits but never really tried minnows before I gave up on it. I'll give it another try or two.

TVB, fish them lip hooked on a jighead under a slip bobber about 3-4 foot down. Toss them around any cover you see sticking out of the water and slowly work them around it. Slow slow slow. If you're not getting any bites adjust your depth up or down and try again. I may stop by if I get off work at a decent time.

I went down to the 661 creek today for mt first time...I arrived there too late..Anyways i talk to this blk dude and he said that some guy caught a limit of 25 showed me a pic...also he mentioned that some guy with his trolling motor on his canoe/kayak bumped into some lost basket under water of 25 more crappie in it.....
well that spot sure looks like a damn damn good spot..prob the best creek on the whole lake..i walked about a half mile down where the game warden drives and kinda got lost in the sticks..I saw lots of crappie or sandies hitting the water pretty good...lots of smacks..

Are you guys referring to Mountain creek where it goes under the 661 bridge? In high school we used to party out on the Gifco Rd bridge that runs out over the water in that area.

Cool. I seen someone put up a sign as well so I didn't bother trespassing. I used to fish down there off/under the Gifco rd bridge and did decently. Had not been down there until recently. You guys fish under the 661 bridge or do you do some ground pounding?

Looked at google earth. About the best/only place to access that creek nowadays is right there at the 661 bridge. Might have to take a run out there pretty soon.

You guys fish under the 661 bridge or do you do some ground pounding? ....If you walk up the north side you can walk all the way to the lake,on the south side you can go a good ways up to where another creek intersects ...I would suggest some ground pounding.
