I like the Pflueger President XT. I tend to get less line twist than what I use to get with the Shimanos. This reel has done everything that I've asked it to do.

Skeet reese 2500 series reels are pretty nice, smooth, and light. Go to BPS and check one out to see what you think

Shimano Sahara is a nice reel for about $70. I love mine.  I think you can't go wrong here. Mine has been great also.

I like Pflueger spinning reels. I own three and I really like them. The Trion GX-7 is a really good $40 reel. I have two of those and they are great. I

Thanks for the suggestions, I will look into a few of them, the higher priced stuff is a little out of the budget right now unfortunately.
