Last Wednesday my son and I both had the day off so we hit several creeks that feed into Joe Pool in search of the crappie. We found them in abundance too. About 40 fish caught. 15 taken home for dinner. Here is the boy w/ his biggest of the day which was just under 12". Five bonus pts. to whomever names that spot first.

Put yourself down for 5 bonus pts, good sir. We were bank fishing it all day. I won't take kids out on the kayaks when the water temp is as low as it is. Even on a nice warm day things could go badly quickly if the worst happened. We took the majority of the ones we kept from that spot. We also did well at the creek there by the boat ramp in loyd park. The creek down south of briton was slowest but we still caught a few there. All caught on jighead tipped w/ a minnow under a slip bobber. When the bite would slow down I'd hit the minnow w/ a little red dead spray.

Thanks Carey. All fish were caught using the principles that you teach, so... gentlemen if you are not doing any good chasing the crappie up in the creeks you need to book w/ Carey and get him to show you how.

Joe pool 13 incher The way to communicate with the fish is to drop them a line. To argue on a fishing boat is to have de bait.

I pulled the car all the way over on the right shoulder w/ the passenger side wheels up on the curb. It left about 5 feet between the car and the highway line. As far as being safe from thieves, you take your chances anywhere you go these days....

I think I saw your car when I passed by. I've been meaning to check that area out, but I just went on down to 661. I haven't been to the other areas you mentioned either, but wouldn't mind hitting it up sometime.

Good stuff!

Great Job "MR". It does not get any better than that. The smile on your son's face says it all. Again simply fantastic.
