I know about the travel Larry, I feel your pain Brother. Everytime we head out north to the good big cat lakes we're looking at least 2-3 hour drive. Hope you can make it though.

Thanks Roy for posting this and for every thing you do for the sport of catfishing. Also thanks to Ken and John for what all ya'll do to promote the sport also. I think this will be one heck of a tournament. I hope we get a great turn out from all the clubs. Lets all make this a record turn out. I know it will be a long drive for some of you, but look at the statement that it would make for the sport of catfishing. Lets all join together and put this one in the history books.

A guy named Kevin Gillis, he was fishing with Mike Padgett. There's an article about it in yesterdays Temple paper.

I know Kevin well. He and Mike fish a bunch of the Central Texas tournaments. I'm not surprised that they are the one's who caught it. Way to go boys.

I spoke to Jody this evening and the 2 main rules in question are North Texas' rod limit and the difference in the dead fish penalty.

There will be no rod limit set for number of rods on the boat, you still are only allowed to fish with 10 at a time.

We will observe the 3lb dead fish penalty that North Texas enforces.

If you have any questions about the above rules or any other rules please let us know.

Spud, I will have to get with Jody on this one. He is having surgery this morning so he will be out of touch for a few days. Once he is back up one of us will let you know.
