My son and I boated 32 and lost or missed another 12. It was awsome out there. Most people I saw were fishing too deep. We caught everything from 3-8 feet with 6 feet being the most productive.

3 of us combined had about 30 in our boat. Largest were the 4 to 5 pound cookie cutters, slower yes it was glad to see it was not just us but I had a feeling it was this way with all the gas being burned today.

My son and I caught 15 today. First time on the lake in 20 years. Looked around a lot but still caught some good fish. The BIG one sawed me off on the back side of a log after hitting a 10" worm. Biggest fish of the day was 3.8. Some friends came in from Arkansas to fish with us and they had 1 that went 5. Gonna be back out there tomorrow. BEAUTIFUL body of water. Glad it is open again!

My first time on the lake today. 6 decent fish that would only add up to maybe 10lbs. If hubbard creek were not closer I would become a regular.

Boatless for minute

So your saying the old folks out fished you today! Isn't it terrible when 25-30 fish days on Squaw are considered bad!LOL Think we have gotten a little spoiled.

We fished Squaw for the first time Friday and Saturday. The lake was a lot of fun and we caught fish at every stop....but from our fish and what I saw...two lbs is a lot closer to the average than 4 lbs....

I thought I recognized that basscat! That was me in the wrapped skeeter. We ended the day with 17, biggest was just over 5 lbs best five right at 20#. We only had 1 fish under 3 lbs. It was my first time to ever see the lake so after the fog lifted we killed a couple of hours driving around and checking it out. We learned lots of things that will make the next trip even better. thumb
