Really! you should consult a financial advisor, you should have started 10 years ago. I'm 35 and was told by mine I will need 3 million to retire at 55 like I plan, and that may not be enough.

Ya know, the one question I would ask anyone in the industry is this: Do you see leasing as an up and coming method of boat "Ownership"?

We had a financial advisor come to our office to go over our 401K's and all that fun stuff. When it came time for me to see her she asked, "How do you plan on retiring," My answer, "I'm just waiting on dear old dad to die so I'll be set for life." Evidently she didn't find it too amusing and I had to tell her that I was just kidding...kind of! LOL!!!

BTW, TX_Basser, I just thought of something else. I did buy what I could afford. If I couldn't afford it I wouldn't have bought it!!!

unless its property then you never own it. I hold the deed to my house in Dallas and still pay $350 a month to uncle sam!! I hate Dallas county.

I'm glad we have allot of people buying these expensive cars and trucks as it keeps our economy alive and well. It also pretty much guarantees no changes in SS since that is all some of you will ever have in your golden years.

Some people spend more on cigarettes, porn, beer, food or houses in a lifetime and some people buy boats. To each his own. I personally try to not to spend much on any of those things, but I have a goal to sit on my asre for the last 30 years of my life and watch everyone else work.

Who are you to judge any of us? You have no clue how much money anyone on this forum has or doesn't have. Don't assume we're all broke and live paycheck to paycheck just because we have new stuff.

The i'll pay it out over the next 10-15 years, or put it on the credit card mentality is what has put this country into this funk.

People do the easy or immediate satisfaction thing, instead of doing whats right.
And yes it did take me 33 years to put myself in position where I could get a boat, but it was on my terms and not the creditors
