We got are Abu Garcia Vertias Rod and tried it out! The Abu Garcia Vertias Rod is a 7-3 mh rod my son and I compared to a 7-0 Falcon Bucco mh. The Bucco was slightly more sensitive, we both agreed on this. The Bucco is lighter in weight. Abu Garcia Vertias Rod a stiffer rod with more back bone it will be good at getting a fish out of cover. We are both pleased with the Abu Garcia Vertias Rod!
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

lookin at the verdict or veritas I have them all. The Veritas or Verdicts are both excellent! Try them both and choose which one suits your fishing best. I like them both for different reasons and each have their place in my arsenal. I doubt you will be disappointed.

I finally got a Veritas in my hands this last weekend. I really looked forward to what I would find in the 6'- 9" MH X-fast. I liked the weight but I didn't like the action. I wish that it was a M action instead. Just my opinion...

i have a vendetta and a veritas and i love them both. Each has a Revo SX on it and i couldnt be happier. If i had it to do again i would buy two veritas rods as i think they are a bit lighter and i prefer the style of grip over the vendetta but both are excellent

Every fisherman is different in what they like. Before buying any rod or reel, a person should put it in his hands and check it out. I did not buy this rod; I simply did an in store test. I like 6-9 rods. After a few swings back and forth, I felt, for me, this rod was too stiff. The 1st thing that came to mind was that it might be a good top water frog rod but I already have one that is just fine. I liked this rod a lot better than the Vendetta rods, which I feel are all too stiff.

It has a VERY fast tip. That swinging back and forth is not accurate for this rod. I promise, try it next time your in the store.

The way I was tought is to bend the rod with one hand holding the tip. Look at the bend in the rod, if it bends 1\2 way down the blank is medium. A medium heavey will bend (tip end) 60% to 70 % on the rod. Ie 5 power 6-7 power for a MH rod. This is the only true method because each rod maker is different rating system
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

The main this is to put a rod in your hands.
Put your favorite reel on it. Rod and reel selection is your personal preference.
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

I own rods from Abu Veritas to Megabass Diablo and everything in between (mostly more expensive) and the Veritas does have a place in my boat. I recently bought the 7'3" MH for small swimbaits (mattlures baby bass and the likes) and like it pretty good. I also used it for Carolina rigging and the sensitivity was really good. I have a Curado 200E7 with 15 lb insivx and it balances out pretty good. Kind of reminded me of the first time i held a Dobyns. Anyway, I think it is a good buy.
