My grandaughter,Jadyn,caught this big carp in Austin's Town Lake. She loves to fish.

Yes it's a landing mat.. They all go back into the water. She will keep sand bass and crappie though.

My grandpa (adopted him) helped me catch my first carp. Never thought at the time it would become a lifelong habit... I've passed it on to my kids and will pass it to my grandkids. Awesome catch and great job to you both. Where on the lake is that photo? don't think I recognize it? Is that the dog swim near 1st street bridge?
