If you can find a Laker net & follow the instructions by Basil Dean, you can learn a simple technique that is not tiring. I had seen folks down on the coast tossing a big net with no effort & finally learned how they do it.I could not find anything on the Inet about it though.

In the summer I add ice, hot water will not retain O2, but when you add ice your also adding chlorine that will kill them,
for that I use Hydrogen peroxid a drop per 5 gallons, I add a splash for good measure.

hi HTR ,
i've used salt for many years but never heard of hydrogen proxide for chlorine removal,,.....
do you mean the HP that i can buy at any drug store that i normaly use as a disinfectant?????
i just bought a bottle of aquasafe fro aquariums an it was $6 bucks
at walmart..what ever happen to the old 1 drop per gallon chlorine remover it was cheap lol...
by the way,i've used the batting material for a filter before,it's the best stuff i've ever used, and you can just throw it away when it gets dirty..works great
