Thats the ramp I launched at and I was having motor troubles so I just trolled back to that ramp and thats when I was catching all those bass. I normally fish the upper lake up near the low head dam at the mill and near the I-35 ramp but I have found that there is pretty good fishing down lake as well.

I helped with the Federation of Student anglers today. The kids had a blast catching fish and its nice to see the smiles on there face. The high school kids fish in the morning, so slow down. I hope fishing was good for all.

Great job Mark and as you stated it's nice to see their smiles while catching fish.

Hey jugmaster I think I talked to you at the I-35 ramp one time. Are you on the TKF kayak forum as well? Me and one of the other firemen at my station kayak fish Dunlap from time to time and from looking at your pics it might have been you that I spoke with about the high school having a kayak fishing program?? My memory gets worse and worse the closer I get to 40..haha.. Thats cool that the kids are getting into fishing like that.. I was in AG classes in high school and I don't see why they can't have a fishing program if they can have animals, welding, shooting archery and stuff like that..Good job on helping out the youth fishing folks..

Im 42, so you think i remember! Sometimes I get on the TKF but its been some time. I graduated from NB in 87, so i do know some of the firemen. I see you all training at the Mill Dam. If you need any info on FSA just PM me. Its a new program and its state wide. It goes from 6-12 grade

Thats awesome. I would love to lend a hand sometime..I've been kayak fishing for about 10 years so I might be able to throw out a couple good suggestions..Plus catching even a 3# bass from a kayak is like catching a 10#er from a power boat..We are planning on a mid-week kayak trip on dunlap in about a week and a half. I will PM you when we decide on when we are heading out..The whole firefighter gig allows us to hit the lake/river during the week when all the crazies are at work.. It sure is nice and quiet during the week..Adios' for now..Hank
