Single transducer and it mounts on the transom. It should be mounted to the right side, and must have a clear shot to both sides.

I think you can link 2 units and just use one transducer. I may no of been clear but the S.I. unit uses one transducer.

I need to spend more time searching for fish in areas that usually hold them. I did see a bunch of fish in an area that Chuck told me about, they really stuck out. The surprise is how little structure there is on the main lake. Another surprse is how easy it is to operate/switch views and set up. There are some great guys that post a lot of information about the units.

Is this the same transducer used for front and bow mount units?????????Is that what single transducer means. Does It operate all units and views. with HB , one transducer works for SI , DS, and reg sonar. you can link two units , but only for gps and mapping data, not sonar. With Lowrance the fishfinders ( has to be HD series) have a reg sonar transducer , you must mount a second transducer and black box ( LSS ) to get side and down scan. You can run up to 3 fishfinders ( all HD's) from one LSS. Hope this helps MO
