i decided to try put this together more as a get together for the bankfishers on tff catfish section--u know put a face to a screen - meet a new fishing buddy-- share tips - compare gear-and just thought $5 pot would be fun--

if goes ok we can do a real bank tourney in few weeks for $20-$40-or $50 entry with sign in weigh in- whole lake- no late entries all that...

I'll show my dace but going to be tough and for getting bait good luck it's been getting harder out there at the vine and with this weather!

alright well i'll see ya out there. just making sure i'm not the only one. I stopped by the park yesterday to get a layout of the place, and I think I've got my spot pin pointed. Unfortunately it seems to be the same spot everyone else is talking about.

couple of things i'm gonna point out...since we pretty much fish this lake every day...everyone fishing at OakGrove is going to be tough. indeed there is a lot of shore line, but just because oakgrove was a hot spot for a few months, doesn't mean it is now...and it's not that hot right now. the fish do move around.

second, the Grapevine police do patrol the parks and yes, they will come up to people fishing. there are certain times that certain parks do close and the police have every right to ask you to leave (Oakgrove is one of those areas being that technically the park closes from 10pm to 5:30am). if they see beer, liquor, etc out and about and/or people being loud - expect them to ask you to leave - they are not being a-holes...just doing their job. i'm not gonna smash on anyone who wants to have a cold one - however if they see drinking going on and everyone is in one certain area - they will probably ask everyone to leave...what happens then?

i understand this is an informal and fun get-2-gether - however anytime money is involved, some people might take it more serious and might be wondering the same things.

I picked Oak Grove cuz it seemed easy and kinda central to most ppl....fishing may suck who knows... ...

I don't drink...if yall do it's up to you---if u do- keep it in koozie and rest out of sight..... hopefully no one gets drunk n rowdy....

I made it $5 to keep it friendly-- hopefully no-one gets P.O.'d over $5.......if $5 is big deal to you maybe u should pass...

Bait may be hard to find I dunno- part of fishing.. I'm bringing frozen shad and something else in case I can't net any-- bait is up to you-- probally should bring back up bait....

If cops do come down and talk to us- hopefully everybody is polite to cops and they let us fish... if they boot us we either give $5 back or award to big fish at the time--if u get ur self booted for drinking etc.. and the rest of us can stay - u lost ur $5..... $5 pot is optional- if u just wanna come meet fellow TFF'rs and fish then cool....

ppl wanting a real tourny we can try to do one in future in daytime on whole lake or something for a lil more $$.....
