caught about 60 dinks and 10 keepers. Big ones were at the bottom and the little one would smash it before the big ones. Jigs out produced minnows as usual. fished from 2pm till 445pm. They shut down right about 450 on the dot everyday.

(Client with a 16 inch slab White Crappie)

Got the pontoon fleet out today. The 4 of us hit the water at 7 am till about 3pm-ish. It was fish after fish till about 11 am and then they slowed down almost to a hault after 1 pm with a keeper here and there. Over 150+ fish were caught in that period of time. The fish are all up and down the creek. Everywhere we found stucture, we caught fish!~ Had a report of 3 keepers from near the gun range as well in the deeper pools.

The fish were hitting pretty much anything that was in thier faces within reason, on deeper stucture in 10-15 ft of water. Next time Ill take a pic of the fish finder and show yall how thick they are.

One spot had them stacked up from 15 ft of water to 8 ft below the surface, stacked on top of each other.

My clients left for the day, so I stayed and fished for 2 more hours with only 9 keepers.

Some colder weather and and a good flood will bring in the Bigger Slabs. Every 20th fish is a keeper right now, but you have the chance for some nice fat slabs. Most fish are males right now. So, the big females are not to far behind.

I had a client reschedule tomorrows trip, so I have the whole day open if someone wants to jump on it. Regaurdless, I will be there tomorrow client or not.... These crappie are just to fun to miss a day.

Great report Carey. I would say 150+ crappies make for a great day on the water.

T-Fly thanks for a terrific trip my fingers are all rough from lippin crappie after crappie after crappie. Thanks for the helping me understand my fish/depth finder. My fellow TFFers if you haven't fished with Carey (T-Fly) book a trip its well worth the cost or post splitting a trip like I've done before. Still feeling that thump.

Report: 11-29-2010

Water temps were 51 degrees with a west wind and 29.75 on the air pressure. As I launched the boat, I turned on the depth finder and saw a bunch of big arches as soon as I turned it on! I usually never see them like like that. hmmm I was sittin in one spot and the graph was going nuts with arches. Fished the arches for about 15 mins to no avail. Then I noticed something, the simulator was on. de All the arches were from the simulator that shows you what the graph can see when its on display in the store. So, I put it on real life time and it said I was in 356 ft? I tinkered with it some more and I think it has graphed up to many fish in the last 3 years. So I think I might have to retire that one. R.I.P - Mr Fish Finder. Pretty funny though.

-So, when I figured out I was going to be fishing blind, I set out to see what I could find. Hit the 1st bend South of Miller and found a pretty big school there with every drop producing a fish. Goofed off a bit and went under Miller and found nothing. Went upstream 100 yards to the first stumps and started to nail the fish left and right. I lost count at 70 something. I think I caught well over 150+ fish easy. Out of all those only 23 were keepers. They didnt want anything to do with white/chart or black/chart, they only wanted orange/blue. and super small! I downsized to 1/64 oz today. Pretty much every drop on the stump produced a fish or a tree bass......

-had a little bird I have "never" seen before follow me all up and down the creek. It never got more than 50 yards from me. It was some kind of diving bird, ugly as sin too....

I drove down to the Miller bridge yesterday and was pretty shocked to see how low the water was. Last time I was there you could not float a boat under the bridge. This time you could do it with no problem. I'm gonna play hooky from work and give the creek a try this week.

Figured out why the sim was on last night. One of the wires was disconnected in the middle of the mess of wires. loco

There should be a bunch of fish at Rowlett Bridge at the mouth stageing to come upstream. And yes, the creek is low. Looks to be almost 4 ft low. I can tell we had a great spawn 2 years ago when we had all that rain. The amount of dinks in the creek right now is amazing. Almost all the structure in the creek in 6ft or deeper holds fish. If you are going to take your boat boat back there, make sure you get out before dark. There are hole punching stumps littered all up and down the creek this year 2 inches under water. More stucture this year too. If we could get a really good flood, the big slabs should show up in good numbers.
