Wow! There has been some chatter since I was on last...LOL!

Let me just start by saying good luck to basspro99 at your Saturday tourney. I wish ya'll could join us on Sunday, but that would violate our off limits rule. Send me a PM on how and where to catch-em, I get email on my phone....lol.

Next, let me just agree with both yepitsme and Grant2. You are both correct. Grant2 is correct, and I too took what yepitsme said as a little offensive, but I do now see the sarcasm that was intended and understand that he meant no offense. I understand that he was just trying to tell me not to worry about it and that there shouldn't be any problems. Also yepitsme is correct that I am a "newbie tourney director in panic mode". However, I would like to qualify that agreement.

First off, I AM a newbie tournament director, but please do not confuse that with naive, ignorant or uneducated. I know that you did not intend to imply that, but others may infer that from your statement. I am trying to surround myself with experienced tournament fishermen so that I don't make too many dumb mistakes. I am also trying to let the participants control the events. I want these to be tournaments that everyone can enjoy. Everyone's input is welcome at our meetings and if a topic warrants a vote, I have no problem putting it to the floor.

Second, lets change "panic mode" to "promptly addressing a concern". Everyone probably noticed that I publicly and honestly said that we had no plans for a polygraph. One of the members on here appropriately PM'd me and pointed out that that was probably a bad idea to announce that, and invite every cheater in the state. I called my partners and we all agreed that we needed to have a contingency plan for questionable fish/weigh-in results. We agreed that we all can spot a fish that looks like it had been caged or tied off and that a dead fish has to be dead a pretty long time to glaze the eyes and have pink gills. With that being said, yepitsme is correct that we will have to come out of pocket for a polygraph in that circumstance if we can not prove the person was cheating at the weigh in. Obviously if we find weights stuffed in a fish, we would not need a polygraph.

At any rate, yes, I was quickly addressing a legitimate concern, and it probably appeared to be "panic mode".

Also, yepitsme, I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could try and get by the ramps on Friday/Saturday before the tourney. It sounds like you really know that area and will be a great asset to making this tournament a success. I look forward to meeting you.

I hope I haven't offended anyone and I look forward to a good turn out. So far we have 10-15 boats and we are getting calls every day. I am hopeful that we can break that 20 entry mark and keep growing into next year.

Sorry you took it that way KVP as it was not intended. I think grant2s statement instigated the responses. Will be glad to check the ramps for you on Fri and Sat. Grant2 jumps on anything I say now days since he lost 1200.00 in a tourney against us here. Been sarcastic ever since smile I hold no grudge against his comments. He should come fish your tourney to try to get some back. The 3 teams that took his money will be there. Maybe a side jackpot grant?

No problem bud, so, how is the fishing on Coleto? It has been slow here on Dunlap and the Guadalupe chain. Still pulling the occasional 4-7 pounder out, but not like it was from last October till about a month ago.

Are you going to be able to make the meeting, or just the tourney? We do need to talk about how to keep track of the ramps. Any ideas?

Fishing has been decent with the same size fish being caught here. Several 3 to 4 lb fish with a few 6+ but a lot of little ones. I will get license plate numbers Fri and Sat. through out the days. Doubt if we can make it to the meeting due to the 4 hr drive it consist of.

I figured you wouldn't be able to make the meeting, but had to ask.

Sounds good on the p-lot plan. Not much else we can do outside of that.

I'm curious as to how one guy could lose $1200 in one tournament since $1200 is a pretty big entry fee. What was first place payout, $100,000 ? I would have thought that I would have heard of a $1200 entry fee tournament on Coleto Creek of all places.

I'm still waiting to hear how Grant lost $1200 ??

Is that some sort of special Victoria math ?

I lost 1200.00 OK don't know when I lost it but if you say so. We had a top 6 club tourney we got 4th and lost 300.00 as a team but what ever you say as far as I been this way since this I don't even know who yepitsme is? But if you would like to get off your home water and come to ours this time you are more than welcome... Yepitsme I have no problem with you just looked like you where on panic mode your self hope you guys have a good turn out and have fun.

Yes that was it. Did not mean you lost all the 1200.00 yourself.
