Finally !!! We have a boat house, and the Toon-boat is off the driveway. I cant tell you how happy we are with the Job Bubba Hodgett did on the construction. He is a craftsman, nothing out of square more than a inch.. Amazing.. I highly recommend him for your boat house or repairs in the Lake Fork area, he is good.

By chance we happened to be home when our next door neighbor was getting a quote for a sea wall and some dredging on his place. We didnt need any dredging , but was interested in a sea wall, and quess what.. Were getting one.
** Biggest mess you ever saw, I cant believe how muddy and nasty everything is.. LOL**
It will have a 3-foot concrete walk on top when finished, if nothing else learn from our mistakes.
We should have done all the stuff on the water front first, Ive bought more grass and dirt repairing all the damage to the yard from construction than you could imagine. With winter just around the corner
the growing season is just about done, we may have to live with a muddy mess all winter..Oppps

4 of the neighbors have got together and all at once are having the cove dredged all the way to the back. Itll be a 40foot wide - 8foot deep boat path with a nice shallow flat on one side. With the lake being down 2-1/2 foot hes gotta dig up 6 foot of dirt and spread it around. Its making for some rather LARGE piles. They may lose some trees, we did when they dredged our place 4-years ago.
Ive never watched an actual dredging job, the guy on the track hoe is very good and knows what hes doing.
The dirt form the lease back cant leave the lease back so some creative placement is a must, once the walls go in they can back fill and use a lot of it.. You can see how clear the water is in the morning and how nasty it gets as he works his way down the bank..
Just thought I share some of the stuff thats been going on at the Forktress, its never a dull moment.

Dock looks great and gives all my pet bass another place to hang out. You know how much I love fishing in there.

Looks Great!!!

Let me know if there is other dirt that may need to be moved. I bought a little John Deere tractor with a bucket when ours was installed if ya need it.
