How about I sour some wheet this week and double bag it and put it on Friday in the Wichita Rive north of Petrolia there by the bridge. We could go out Sat. morn and try to catch some biguns. All your kids are invited too. How about it guys? Vetro? Heavy?

uhhhhh if buffalo lake has no ducks i will be there!!! but i will only bring my oldest as it really aint a place for lil kidds!! or atleast not mine!! sat. is the start of duck season!! i am hoping for some ducks around here!!

I realize this is about crappie fishing, but there are also outdoorsmen from the Wichita Falls area, did the burburnett gun range close? I cant find any information online even as a number to call. You cant take a shooting guest to the field and stream, and shooting makes for a decent date.

They have the gun club meetings at the big bank in Burk on third st. I think it's first bank. The people at the bank could probably give you more info. I think they meet on Mondays. Their website is gone so I'm curious now.

As far as the gun range, it should still be open in burk. It was last time I heard, 2 weeks ago. And the Field and stream is only $40 a year. I figured that is cheap enough, so I dont go to burk anymore.

This is a little off topic, but every time I go crappie fishing around here, I use the "lunar guide" as when to go. I was wondering if anyone else does. I only go fishing when it says it will be good days.

went to the lake and seen one mallard and a few coots!!! hoping they start showing up soon!!! sooooo as long as everyone still wants to go fishing i will be there!

I check it sometimes,but I do not let it be the deciding factor in wether I go or not,I have noticed that it is pretty accurate sometimes though.

Hey guys, pretty random but oh well, went to lake wellington (behind OSTC and holiday inn express) and caught some big ones! each one was over 12 inches and one was 18 inches long. just pick up some minnows from the bait store, a small split-shot, and a bobber about 2 ft from your minnow. Pretty small lake but loaded with big bass crappie and catfish. just a place you might want to go and have fun on a free saturday.

Okayyyyyyy. Pezz and Sam are coming to the Wichita River fishing spot on Saturday morning. Sam at 6 AM and I'm coming at 7:30 AM. (It will be baited on Friday evening.) Phil and Mike welcome too. Wichita River about 2 miles northwest (or north, I don't know) of Petrolia on the Petrolia to Charlie FM road.
