It is the furthest boat launch up the Guadalupe. It is in the back of a subdivision off of 306 North of Canyon City. You can get directions from TPW website. I paddled all they way up to the rapids last Sunday and it can't be more than about 4-5 miles from the launch. Rebecca Creek extends off of the Guad. and the fork is only about 100 yds from the launch.

Yesterday it was out of its banks at Irvin Bridge and Newman Bottom was completely underwater. I haven't checked today, but I doubt that things have changed much.

The lake is up 2 1/2 feet since Monday and rising about 6 inches a day.. so there is lots of water coming into the lake. It's raining again (Friday the 13th ) and the ground is really saturated so there will be even more run-off to deal with and to top everything off it is dang cold too! I guess a couple of weeks from now it will be fishable again if it will just quit raining...

Anybody know if they've opened the dam yet? I'll probably be heading out there in an hour or so.

Fishing is always good, its the catching that varies.
