I don't grab more than six from the garage to take on the boat. Although I'm not a professional, I can't imagine how one can possibly switch around 8-15 rods in a given day for given conditions and concentrate enough on each rod to work the baits properly.

Dang, that's a lot of rods to sort through and trip over for me. I carry 8-10 rods but can usually only pull 3-4 out before I start overloading on my choices. Deep crank, shallow crank, jig and some sort of soft plastic from shakey head, to texas rig to carolina depending on where I'm headed. I agree with Ronnie. If I've got every rod out, I'm starting to think about cold adult beverages.

I have 16 rods, but I will only carry 8 in the boat. I try to only keep 4 on deck.
I have become a firm believer that the more complicated something becomes, the more likely I will screw up somewhere. (I have noticed that I haven't dropped any rods in the water in a while.)

12-20 in the boat. If i have the fish patterned usually 2-4 on the deck. If I'm searching for them 12+ on the deck. Unfortunately, I'll have 12+ on the deck with me Friday.

Depends on the lake and if I'm in a tournament or not. If I know the lake and I'm fun-fishin then 3-4 is fine. If in a T I'll carry 12-14 with doubles of the same lure. Usually I'll start with 6-8 on deck and narrow down to 4-6 throughout the day.

I have way more than I need and I bought another Carrot Stix at Academy today on sale for 80 bucks, like I need another rod.
I put as many as I have holes in my rod box. I have to put as many as I can in my boat............dang South East Texas Gal can count, so I have to hide as many as I can.
Thanks, Billy
