18 in the boat but I try to limit it to 3 on deck

I need to settle a disagreemen me and a buddy are having. He says that I carry too many set-ups with me. How many rod/reel combos do yall carry in your boat with you? doesnt matter whether its fun fishing or tourneys. I generally have 8-10 on deck with me and another 10 in the rod locker.

I have 12 set ups in the boat with a couple of spare rods and reels for when the day finally comes that i have my first back lash..  I try to keep the other rod box as open as I can for who ever is riding. When I'm not in my boat, I try to carry 5-7.

Looking at the replies I don't think you and your buddy will resolve this dispute, lol.
I have 7 total at this time. 5 that I use all the time. I just started bass fishing this year.

12 total but I try to only keep 4 on deck, there is one rule to go by:
Too much is no enough

I think I have 16 in the boat, but normally only 15 or so on the deck.
The spinning rod rarely leaves the rod locker.

12, and lately all of them have been on the deck minus the only spinning rod that i have, i hate spinning rods
