Bet there were lots of angry people who paid $125 entry fee! Glad I ended up stayin' home for this one.

20 lb Blue took over all "Big Fish". He was suppose to win a new boat, motor & trailer but bought him out for $2500. Second place was an 18 lb Blue. It was a 2-day / hourly payout with a range of 3 - 12 lb fish winning money on the hours.
"Guaranteed Hourly Payouts" were listed as:
1) $300 2) $200 3) $150 4) $100
But they only paid half of that and didn't announce that reduction until the tournament was over and they passed out checks.
A little "Tom Foolery" that they waited till the end to announce.

Anglers were told about lowering payouts because payouts were based on 200 entries and only 42 anglers entered. To help compensate for the lower payouts, anglers were provided with a gift certificate to the next event based on their ranking along with concert tickets. The overall winner was given the option of cash or the boat and 'HE' chose the cash.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the rest of the anglers that have shown their support even though we had to reduce payouts due to lack of entries. Many have requested for me not to stop these events because there was such low numbers and want us back again next year.
Some have even as gone as far as to invite me back on a fishing trip with them. They have offered to help promote the event so that next year this event will be bigger and better.
Thanks to all, God bless and wishing you all the best of luck fishing.

Anglers were not told until after tournament when checks were written.

Based on that flier posted it would show that the garanteed payouts promised were not payed. Bass tournies do this but always had the fine print that said payouts were based on # entries. I dont see that on this ad or webpage. I only see that anglers have a chance of winning more money than promised. I dont like this kind of advertising but what do i know about a tournament.
I also did not fish this tournament so i dont know what was said to anglers at sign-in
