I was glad to read and go to the websites you guys listed on using downriggers for stripers. I use one during the summers on lake Conroe and have had very good luck with it. I use the small cannon with a standard release. Since Conroe is fairly shallow( maximum depth is less than 50 ft) I have not seen anyone else using them on the lake. However, during the summer if you are trying to troll at 20 ft or so, this is by far the best tool to use.

if any one can give a update on lake buchanon i could use one i am going may 12-15.. also i have some cannon mini mags for sale new in box i can be reached at 512 585-5152 .......... thanks
