Well last night went to the state park paddling trails. Caught 1-shad and 1-shrimp. Put the shad on and floated around while throwing various lures. Something took the shad so I pulled over to the side and hopped out and put the shrimp on. Set the pole down to put on another 3" pink grub. Look back and the pole and kayak are headed out with a 20.5" red. Had numerous hits on the grub but no takers. Tried to catch more shrimp put only caught another shad. Put it on and something ate the head off. Had lots of fun with the little bit of fishing I did and thanks again for all the info to make it successful.

Sounds like a good time, Tomato. Proof that you don't have to catch loads of fish to have a good time (IMHO). Thanks for sharing your trip with us couch anglers. Can't wait to hit the coast later this year.
