Coming back from Fork today from a night fishing trip (all night, took 30 minute nap) I get a flat on the trailer. Replace it with the spare and drive 200 yards and the other tire blows!! Had to pull the trailer off and go get a new tire and do it all over again! Both tires just like that. Think I might go get a lotto ticket after that luck.

This all happened in Fate, TX which I find ironic after my horrible night fishing trip.

On a positive note I had a huge blow up on top water last night. Biggest I have ever seen but I lost him. It scared the you know what out of me when it hit. That was about the most excitement for me that night...

At least you didn't blow up your big motor AND knock the transducer off the trolling motor like my partner and I did Saturday night on Fork...

Yes, easy. 2 years ago

- Driving to Fork a rock cracks my windshield.

- 10 mins later I get a call from the RV park stating everyone's boat/RV has been robbed including yours.

- Next day break down in the middle of lake and also have a small boat fire *wiring*

- Day after engine dies- Dirt Divers built a nest inside cylinder* $6k to repair.

- Driving home from Fork the day after Mercedes truck dies in the middle of Hwy 19, steering belts blew, no cell reception. 6 hrs later and $500 for a tow to dealer I'm back home.

I found a $5 dollar bill in the parking lot at Bass Pro Shop today after buying a $5 crankbait. You win.

Fished falcon 2 weeks ago...

Blew a hydraulic line on the power pole...

Roped it up came in got it fixed...

Went back out at Osoblanco line broke again....

back in load up 2 flats on the trailer......

Fix the flats wiretie and rope up the power pole.

Go out in the am get 3 fast fish cross into a shllow spot using a push pole...go to back out and im stuck....ON A T POLE....40 minute cluster and it ends with a 21' scrape down the whole boat...

Then land a 9.15 win a check....

Snap a steez....

On the way home...blow another tire....

Best part....07 avalanche came with a jack only....no handle...no wrench....

yup, I think I can give you a run for your money...

I was heading down to fish Lake Falcon and man was I stoked, my first time to this Mecca of bass fishing - Lake Falcon BIG fish right...well I get south of Zapata about 10 min from the ramp when suddenly I have this incredible urge to take a wiz so I figure I better pull over on the side of the road on the gravel and get this over with so I'm in good shape for the busy ramp, so I pull over and as I walk over to the side away from the road I see this big dust cloud blowing away from my boat - I thought hey it's just gravel dust...well as I was attending to the call of nature I smelled something odd and heard a sizzling sound coming from my trailer, I finish my business and wonder over to investigate...the cool hub was not soo cool !...the cover was gone the wheel was leaning and I was in south Texas ( may as well call it Mexico !!! ) on a weekend with nothing open...I called the wife to see if there was a Ranger dealer near - closest was up on Amistad and they didn't have any parts...in case your unaware the cool hub system is a specialized unit you can't just go to a parts store and get a replacement part...well I limped the rig going at about 5 miles an hour back up to Zapata to a motel I passed, pulled in and made some calls with no luck - in an effort to keep this short - I finally hired a flat bed to come from San Antonio to Zapata to haul my rig back to my house so I could get the parts I needed to fix the trailer...

the cost of the flat bed was just short of $900.00, motel room, gas in my truck there and back, food...several hundred bucks more...and I never got to fish...

Side note - Tim at Lake Falcon Tackle Store was an incredible host - if you get that way by all means go in and patronize his business, they have a great tackle selection and he's a true gentleman as he offered his garage space, tools and help to a stranger !!!

Would it make it worse to know what your wife and her boyfriend were doing while you were out fixing the flats on the boat trailer?
