Very cool. I watched River Monsters last night on the animal channel about these fish. Very interesting fish. Im going to half to go out and target gar on day. They were using cut buffalo. ( Huge pieces)

Looks like an exciting trip. The gar on the right in your sig. looks like an albino. Does that happen, or is it just the picture?

It does happen, but it is just that picture in this case. Albino fish of any kind usually feed the birds.

Thanks, I've seen it in catfish before. Tried fishing for gar once before. Used an old buzz bait w/ steel leader finished w/ trebel hook. Had a piece of nylon rope for the body. Sounded good in theory. I could get them to slap at it, but no hook-ups.
