I think it might be "OLD SAM", a big silver carp down Mayberry, North Carolina way. Howard Sprague (my CUZZIN) caught him some years back and put him in an aquarium. Public opinion won Old Sam's freedom and as far as I know he is still swimming around somewhere.

Brid, I don't think the "big" Sturgeon will survive down here, or do well enough to get that big.

We have a few Shovelnose Sturgeon in the Red River, but those only get about 2' or so.

went out there last sunday for a few hrs and didnt see it but the grass has also died off alot it is a clear lake and ill be out therethis weekend again and will try to find it ,everytime i have saw it it was in the shallow water in grass.still the biggest fresh water fish i have seen
