Funny story.... I was casting for Shad the other day and caught about a 5-6lb lmb. Threw him back and went around casting, and I guess i came back to the same spot, caught the damn thing again so I let it go...again! I got curious, so I lit up a ciggarettes, smoked it and casted right back into that same spot. Guess what? Caught him AGAIN!! Stupid thing kept goin back to the same spot I guess. I could have caught him all night had I wanted to I think. LOL. Fish are dumb! Also caught a couple of undersized crappie and about a thousand 5-6" sandbass too. All released to grow, or get eaten by that big, fat, dumb largemouth.

x2. Thier fins seems to be more serrated than the bigguns and stick to the net. PITA to get off without getting stuck!

+ 100 Had that happen last night and as i warn my friends 9 yr old to be carefull it stuck me. All I could say was see... they'll get you. Now you know

Several years ago I got into a heated argument with a customer. I was throwing in a creek (had clients with me,usually don't). I pulled up two HUGE Crappie, 16 and 17 inches. The customer says "We gotta keep those". I said "Nope, caught 'em in the net"

He gets royally PO'D, referred to me the whole trip as a "Blankety-Blank" conservationist"

I asked him not too come back...

I could have feed half the country on all the good fish I have caught in my cast net....At minimum I would have had a really nice fish market, with an increadible section of trash fish.

Crappie, Bass, spotted trout, redfish, snook and 1 small shark,.. the list goes on and on.

Note all game fish thrown back...
