First off... welcome and nice fish!! Thanks for sharing. We are all jealous you have the opportunity to fish waters like that.

The fish looks kind of like George Perry's fish. Maybe it was pushing 20 and you guessed low. laugh We'll never know what it weighed so we can all guess and no one will ever win. You can call it what you want, but in all honesty without a semi accurate scale, you have no more accurate info than the people on here saying your guess is wrong.

To this day I still pull some big fish out of the water and guess they are 10. When I put them on the scale, sometimes they are only 8... sometimes they are 11. Fish look different and weigh different.

All that aside, it is a good healthy big fish... congrats.

Congrats on the catch. I'm glad to see such a healthy looking bass on a private lake. The owner knows what he's doing on habitat management. 10 or not, it's really no big deal. Get a good scale though, and do your own calibration to keep your own sanity. I hated not knowing exactly how big my personal best fish were long ago. Take several things from the grocery store of a known weight and weigh them. See how close you are. My Berkley digital gripper ($89.99 back when I got it), is right on the money across the board. I check it occasionally to see if it's still in check. Good to go so far.

Nice fish. I don't think anybody is bashing you. Double digit is a goal of lots of people. That ain't close. If you didn't weigh it and the picture looks like its eight pounds.... don't accuse people of bashing. BTW... are you in the witness protection program?

we usually try and get between 60-75 by 7:30am thenstop off for a little breakfast and a bloody mary then it isn't a good day unless we put another 150-200 fish in the boat by our 1pm siesta time.

Could be worse. Last time I had a pix posted on here of me, all they talked about was the dunlap and jorts I was wearing.
