Tomball had a few nets left yesteday, noticed All Star rods and a few other at 40-50 pct. off. Question - is that before the 'Rod Riot' discount, and are All Stars okay?

My opinion man you should just give that money to a homless person cuz you aint gona get its worth. I have to rtepair mine every time i use it and its cuz it just falls apart the first night i used it is the only time i have not had to patch holes
If it walks I can hunt it, if it swims I can catch it. If I dont, I'm havin a bad day. uva uvam vivendo varia fit

PB - 35# Blue Catfish Alexx PB - 7 lbs. Blue Catfish As far as Paul is concerned, he is my Bro. Lay off him. All is good. I might be in, just to hang with Paul. Sounds like a party.

i believe in abilene, it lasts until sunday, but with each store varying somewhat on merchandise and prices, it might be better to call the store and find out. they sold out of the nets within two days here in abilene.

I just bought the 5' nylon cast net $8.99... now to practice throwing it.
OK so I watched some utube video on throwing the cast net, practiced in the back yard and today gave it a try. MAN OH MAN! I caught 10 pounds of .... rocks, sticks, rusty hooks, a lead sinker, broken beer bottles and bottle caps. After 2 hours I maybe had 10 usable baits (shad & sunfish). I also had a tear in the net (broken beer bottle) . I got home and cleaned, repaired and dried the net. I think this is going to work out just fine but I could use some tips on how to ID a likely spot for shad and/or dealing with or avoiding all the bottom trash!! I know about chumming with bread or oatmeal to draw in the bluegills but what about shad?

Picked up the 6 foot, 3/8" nylon mesh cast net at Tomball, now i've got to learn learn how to use it.
got a coupla rooster tail knockoffs for .44 ea.
Ugly Sticks are reg. 29.99, rod riot price 19.99. I'm gonna save and try a couple of the Pro Angler rods.
Still wondering if the All Star graphites are decent?

I tare up the nylon to easy.
