I agree. My Dodge 2500 says 70 psi. My tires would be bald in the center.
If you are running E rated tires like most 2500 Dodges do, you should have a maximum tire pressure of 80. Thats what my Michelins have with the LTX A/S. I don't pull heavy so I don't run at maximum tire pressure.

Depends on the tire, the vehicle and what you are doing.

I pull my boat all the time but that weighs nothing. I pull my Jeep on a car hauler a couple times a year, but that is not much weight either. I am currently running a Continental extra load tire which is pretty close to an E. Works great.

Always follow the tire manufacturer NOT the vehicle manufacturer And adjust for load, tire wear ect from there!!!! Remember a few years ago when Firestone got a bad wrap Because Ford SUV'S were rolling over? Ford reccomended im thinking like 25 psi maybe 28 can't remember The problem was not the tire it was the psi reccomended by Ford.

Funny, I thought that Ford was blamed for the rollovers and not just because of the tire. Tire manufacturers post MAXIMUM air pressure. Car manufacturers post recommended tire pressures. Easy.
