All of KVD peers acknowledge him as the best bass fisherman in the world. As do I. Only thing KVD can't do on the water is walk on it.
Which would only mean, he is just a man like you and I, and no one is perfect. If Redranger had a bad experience with KVD and I'm sayin "IF" Maybe he should look in the mirror to find his problems with KVD. Or maybe he simply has fishing envy. So of course he'd try to find faults in him by attacking his personality, because his arguments wouldn't stand up if he attacked his fishing skills.

I have known Kevin since he was in High School. He was a gentleman then and he is now. At ICAST this year Kevin yelled at me "Where have you been", I told him I moved to Memphis, we talked awhile and then mama asked if she could get her pic taken with him, he was more than happy as long as I wasnt in the pic too, lol
Kevin is approachable by anyone that is not an AHOLE, and as of now HE may be the best that has ever been or will be in a long long time.
Yes I think the new format sucks, but I also talked to both Kevin and Skeet about it and they said, we have to play by the rules, and thats the way it is.
Now all Kevin needs is another Bassmasters Championship and who knows what will happen next. That will tie him with Rick Clunn for the most Championships.

I guess Mark Davis will have to give up a seat on his perch, now that KVD has won the Classic and AOY in the same year.

We are in the middle record setting history. Folks when KVD gets through with his career he will have some records that may be impossible to break. I was young and did not pay much attention to BASS back in the '70s but I wonder what all the fans thought back then when Roland was winning all those AOY's. If we are all still around 25-30 years from now we will telling our grand kids and great grand kids about how great of fisherman KVD was. There will always be "someone of the times", and right now KVD is that person in the world of competitive bass fishing.
