okay thanks guys and kings or tuna ? we just dont like tuna its wierd i know but thats what we want to do i went to cyrstal beach this weekend and landed a four foot black tip all the kids and familys took out of the water like fools i laughed. but specks could be catch under birds the shrimp are in the surf just look for them

now the guide says waves are too rough for this weekend on a overnighter i feel id rather be safe than sorry im thinking about just heading to freeport in my own boat and go troll for some kings about 6 - 10 miles out any helping tips?

Well guysseas were rough. Didn't go out past 3 miles. 3 days agoglass. 3 days from nowglass. Such is the fate of the weekend warrior. Seas were predicted to be 3-5's. Seas were more like 6-8's with the odd 10 coming through. Will be back soon.

Hate to hear that for you. I know how hard it is to get to the coast to fish and when you finally do you get blown off the water.

Keep in mind with those forecast...they are an average of the top 1/3 of the tallest waves. So with 3-5 footers predicted it's definitely possible to have some 6-8's in the mix.

That's why when I go it's got to be less than 3-4' predicted. Even that is pretty rough.
