There are plenty of cheap places in south Austin on the west side near me. I am about 6 minutes from LBL in the morning when I head down to fish. Look for places near Ben White Blvd. I wouldnt go any further south than slaughter lane though. There are a TON of cheap places to rent between Ben White and Slaughter!

My step-daughter lives in a nice place on Steck just west of Mopac; Le Montreaux I believe it is called; not too far, safe, and reasonable!

Hi friend,
Before few months I was totally new and unknown to Austin. I was also searching for a suitable room for rent. Then I came in contact with Platinumrealtyaustin.com and get a perfect apartment in Austin with an affordable cost. Since then I have not faced any problem regarding my accommodation here yet. I think you may get your problem solved by visiting the site Rent Austin.

Thanks
Marshall Mather

The South/East side of I35 and anywhere near Rundburg/Lamar is real bad. Have you considered Pflugerville, Round Rock, Georgetown, etc?

I lived in Austin for 6 months then decided to move to Georgetown. I'm glad I did.

I live on the north side of Round Rock, not that far from Georgetown. I like it a lot even if it is typically suburban. It's really not that far from LBL/Emma (30 minutes on a good day but 60 minutes Friday rush hour) but if you're a young single fella, it's probably a bit dull. Thankfully I'm middle-aged and married and fishing is the only excitement I can handle so Round Rock suits me just fine. smile
