been boning up on my saltwater stuff out here in the el paso sun and wind. good training! waiting on some backing from cortland now to spool up some new lines. in the meantime i'm going to break out the switch rod and practice some 2-handed overhead.

i tried my local bass pond with the fly rod 20 mins ago. all i caught were (2) three lbers. last time i caught about 15-20. i could see the bass and i put all sorts of flies near them, but they were to hot too, i guess..... lots of small 1 inch bass everywhere, so they had a good spawn this year.
